Job Description
A driver role involving operating box trucks in manual mode while overseeing autonomous driving systems, testing and refining autonomous vehicle technology, and ensuring safety and performance in a fast-growing autonomous trucking company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising autonomous driving systems
- Test, evaluate, and refine autonomous vehicle technology in collaboration with engineering teams
- Monitor system performance using onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software
- Conduct test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide feedback
- Maintain safety and compliance with DOT and company safety guidelines
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience driving 26-30 ft box trucks
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Flexible availability to work nights and weekend shifts
- Ability to operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems
- Ability to use onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software to monitor system performance
- Ability to perform test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide clear, actionable feedback
- Must stay highly alert and safety-focused, following DOT and company safety guidelines
