Job Description
The role involves operating support vehicles for testing autonomous trucks, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols, and maintaining situational awareness to facilitate safe and efficient autonomous vehicle testing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate support vehicle to assist with testing operations
- Manage road interactions to maintain a controlled testing environment
- Stay highly aware of surrounding conditions and adapt as needed
- Prioritize safety for all road users during testing
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the team following protocols
- Exercise strong situational awareness to identify and address potential challenges
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience driving a box truck
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no major infractions
- Clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective reporting
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities to handle high-pressure situations with composure
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including rotating shifts as needed
