Job Description
The Vice President, Senior Underwriter LEAN, is responsible for underwriting and reviewing healthcare-related loan transactions under HUD's FHA Section 232 Program, ensuring high-quality due diligence and collaboration with the underwriting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and review loan transactions under FHA insured programs, focusing on healthcare projects such as skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and independent living.
- Collaborate with the FHA Chief Underwriter and HUD underwriting team to ensure high-quality underwriting and due diligence.
- Assess and analyze loan applications to determine risk and compliance with program requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures for HUD loans.
Requirements
- Experience in underwriting and reviewing loan transactions under FHA insured programs, specifically HUD s Section 232 Program.
- Primary focus on healthcare transactions, including skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and independent living projects.
- Ability to work closely with the FHA Chief Underwriter and HUD underwriting team, including project managers, analysts, and other underwriters, to ensure high quality underwriting and due diligence.
- Work primarily conducted in an office setting, with the possibility of remote work through technology at management discretion.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate technology and office machinery such as printers and scanners.
- Must have visual acuity to utilize a computer monitor effectively.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and/or in writing, with others.
- Demonstrated flexibility to perform situationally assigned duties outside of the standard job description to support organizational efficiency.
