Job Description
The role involves leading quality assurance and certification processes for Factorial Energy's solid-state battery products, managing documentation, quality control, and external communications to ensure compliance and continuous improvement from design through mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance for Factorial's products and manage certification processes (IATF16949, UN38.3, IEC, ISO, UL).
- Organize and summarize evidence data and documents, contributing to decision-making during Gate reviews from design to mass production.
- Manage QC processes and QMS, monitor daily quality status, and lead quality improvement activities with design, process, and production teams.
- Coordinate external quality assurance communications, resolve technical issues with project management and customers.
- Prepare and secure necessary documentation and evidence, ensuring timely data collection and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in Quality assurance for Lithium ion battery cell.
- Experience of leading PV Product validation of two mass production projects of Lithium-ion Batteries (LIB).
- Experience of leading certification processes for LIB of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) including IATF16949, UN38.3, IEC, ISO, UL, etc.
- Experience of handling design manufacturing defects by recall or product liability law of LIB with Legal team.
- Three years of experience managing QC process and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Strong written and verbal skills with clear and unambiguous wording in English.
- Three years of experience in LIB Cell Design validation for one mass production project.
- Experience of documenting one mass production project for cell design and validation following APQP process, including matrix of customer requirements and cell function, DFMEA, material specifications, component drawings, cell specification drawing, risk assessment validation evidence for design change DVP, DV evidence sheets, and control plan.
- Experience of one mass production for process readiness validation with process team, including PFMEA, process flow chart, and matrix of cell design specification and process window.
- Organizing, summarizing evidence data and documents, and contributing to decision-making at Gate reviews from design phase through mass production phase.
- Managing QC process and QMS, reporting and recording the status of daily qualities.
- Leading and organizing quality improvement activities with design, process, and production teams.
- Leading external communication for quality assurance from the technical side and resolving issues with project management team and customers.
- Clarifying necessary documents at Gate reviews in advance, instructing team members on required data and deadlines, and following up to ensure timely receipt.
- Preparing necessary documents based on data provided by team members and organizing and securing document evidence, providing documents promptly when required.
- On-site in Korea, working closely with the US team, requiring late night and early morning work.
