The Cell Product Development Engineer will design, validate, and optimize lithium-ion and solid-state battery cells, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure high performance, safety, and reliability of battery products for various applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design lithium-ion and solid-state battery cell products based on customer requirements, performance goals, and safety standards
Validate and optimize electrochemical and safety performance through testing and data analysis
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including managing documentation such as BOM, DFMEA, and sample build indexes
Oversee sample builds, troubleshoot technical issues, and conduct failure analysis and root-cause investigations
Participate in customer meetings to discuss product development plans and technical feedback
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues related to cell products
Requirements
Master's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in battery material or product development, with a strong understanding of lithium-ion battery systems.
Demonstrated ability to independently lead product or material development projects from concept to validation.
Strong skills in failure analysis, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal.
