Job Description
A Lead Receiver Design Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing solar thermal receivers for innovative energy systems that capture and store solar energy for on-demand electricity generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of solar thermal receivers for energy systems
- Own the engineering of components that absorb and transfer high-flux solar radiation into thermal storage
- Work at the intersection of heat transfer, materials science, and optical engineering to improve receiver efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness
Requirements
- Experience in leading the design, development, and optimization of solar thermal receivers for energy systems.
- Ownership of engineering components that absorb and transfer high-flux solar radiation into thermal storage systems.
- Proficiency in working at the intersection of heat transfer, materials science, and optical engineering to improve receiver efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ability to lead receiver design projects from concept through development and optimization phases.
- Relocation to Miami, FL or Austin, TX is required; willingness to relocate with provided assistance.
