Job Description
A Senior Software Developer at Esri's Field Apps team will design and develop high-performance iOS applications that support field data collection, mapping, and real-time location-based decision-making, collaborating with a team to create reliable and impactful mobile solutions for professionals worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test iOS applications with a focus on performance and user experience
- Collaborate with developers and designers throughout the development process
- Understand and implement user requirements for real-world field scenarios
- Develop software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, and navigation
- Solve complex technical challenges such as offline data synchronization and real-time mapping
Requirements
- Be an Apple enthusiast and a game changer
- 5 years of commercial software development experience
- Proficiency in Objective-C and/or Swift
- Experience with Xcode
- Developing with the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch APIs
- Strong object-oriented design skills
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience developing iOS apps related to performance optimization and caching
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Ability to thrive in an environment that changes often
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics
