Job Description
A senior sales manager at Esri leads and manages a team to promote and sell GIS technology solutions to the State and Local Government sector, driving revenue growth through strategic planning, customer engagement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach sales teams to achieve revenue growth and sales objectives.
- Develop and implement regional or sector-specific business and sales strategies.
- Manage sales activities, provide feedback, and support the sales process.
- Engage with senior leaders and executives to navigate complex situations and build relationships.
- Leverage data and CRM tools to analyze performance and adapt sales strategies.
- Lead executive engagements and develop solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and sales plans.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience managing and coaching a sales or consulting team
- Eight (8) years of enterprise sales experience providing solutions to businesses
- Proven ability to win projects utilizing business development techniques
- Understanding of GIS and Esri technology
- Advanced understanding of PowerBI and Salesforce
- Solid knowledge of the State and Local Government industry, innovative technology trends, and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers
- Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and negotiation skills including good listening, probing, and qualification abilities
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, GIS, or a related field

Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $156,000 - $270,400 USD
Work schedule: Up to 50% travel domestically or internationally
