Job Description
This role involves leading and managing geospatial technology projects for defense clients, overseeing all phases from requirements to deployment, and providing strategic consulting to deliver innovative GIS solutions that support decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams through all phases of technology implementation, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, build, configuration, and deployment.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to deliver solutions aligned with customer and strategic partner objectives.
- Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to develop high-quality, timely solutions that meet project goals.
- Engage with customers to understand their use of geospatial technology and create compelling proposals to win business.
- Drive business development by defining project strategies and influencing strategic direction with clients.
- Advise customers on innovative Esri technology solutions and develop implementation and migration strategies.
- Manage complex IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience leading and managing IT based projects
- An understanding of Defense customer needs developed through experience supporting Defense and or Intel customers
- Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and translate customer s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers, non-technical peers, or customers
- Proposal writing experience, including preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- US citizenship and active TS Security Clearance with eligibility for SCI
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or related technical field
