Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing GIS data management solutions within Esri’s software products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data handling capabilities, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting customer needs related to spatial data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions for GIS data management using ArcGIS software.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user requirements into development objectives.
- Drive the planning, testing, certification, and release of data management functionalities.
- Contribute to quality assurance and documentation of complex spatial data solutions.
- Assess product quality and readiness for release.
- Communicate development plans and project status to internal teams and management.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and patterns into existing software.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience designing, developing, and or implementing solutions using ArcGIS software
- Experience using an application development language, such as C , Java, C , or Python
- Strong DBMS expertise in a commercial RDBMS
- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, or related fields
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and management level
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- A self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning and the ability to guide staff towards excellence
