Job Description
A Senior Product Designer at Esri will develop user-centered designs for ArcGIS Pro's raster and imagery features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create intuitive workflows and enhance the user experience in GIS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design new user-friendly features for ArcGIS Pro that enhance GIS workflows
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate designs
- Collaborate with product teams to develop prototypes and iterate on design solutions
- Create detailed design specifications including wireframes, user flows, and prototypes
- Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices to improve design processes
- Lead the end-to-end design process from brainstorming to implementation
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and align with project goals
- Advocate for user needs throughout the product development lifecycle
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with proven experience designing complex software features or workflows.
- An online portfolio that demonstrates your design abilities, how you think, and a strong understanding of client objectives.
- Experience using Figma, Figma UI Kits, adhering to established pattern libraries and required frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a related field.
