Job Description
The position involves delivering GIS training and support to customers using Esri's ArcGIS software, helping them develop skills, implement sustainable workflows, and understand the strategic impact of GIS across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency in ArcGIS software through in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training sessions and workshops to address them.
- Support users by answering questions and helping overcome challenges related to GIS workflows.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business processes and provide guidance on sustainable GIS workflows.
- Promote the adoption of ArcGIS across customer organizations and demonstrate its value through tailored solutions and training.
- Create visualizations and narratives to communicate the impact of GIS and develop engaging content such as case studies and success stories.
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience leveraging Esri's software capabilities with an emphasis on ArcGIS Desktop and/or ArcGIS Pro.
- Two years of professional experience in classroom facilitation and instructional delivery.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while prioritizing student needs.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to incorporate feedback to continuously improve instructional delivery and course materials.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Travel time within the year to support an average of 10-15 onsite customer training sessions, with at least 20% of travel time dedicated to supporting these sessions.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $72,800 - $109,200 USD
Work schedule: 20-40 hours of travel time per year, including international travel
