Job Description
A senior contracting professional responsible for managing complex federal and commercial contracts, negotiating agreements, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and providing strategic guidance within Esri's Contracts and Legal Department to support the company's geospatial solutions and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and negotiate complex federal and commercial contracts, including cloud, data, software, and services agreements.
- Lead the full lifecycle of federal contracts, from RFP analysis to proposal development, negotiation, execution, and closeout.
- Provide expert guidance on FAR and DFAR compliance to internal stakeholders and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Represent Esri in discussions with federal agencies, prime contractors, and oversight bodies.
- Review, draft, and negotiate high-complexity contract templates and customer agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contract terms align with business, financial, and risk management objectives.
- Identify contractual risks, propose mitigation strategies, and streamline negotiation processes.
- Mentor and assist contract team members in drafting and negotiating agreements, developing subject matter expertise.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience negotiating and drafting agreements.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing contracts with U.S. government entities and prime contractors.
- Deep understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), GSA (General Services Administration) contracting, and federal procurement processes.
- Superior negotiation techniques and drafting skills.
- Mastery of written and verbal communications.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, analytical, and quick learner.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced environment.
- Diligent and proactive with sound business judgment and strategic thinking.
- Ability to manage a significant volume of agreements in a timely manner.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, computer skills, and knowledge of Apttus (now Conga) or Salesforce.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, contracts administration, legal studies, or a related field.
- Experience negotiating software and cloud security clauses and addendums.

Compensation/salary range: $98,800 - $153,920 USD
