Job Description
A senior business development manager at Esri collaborates with distributors to promote and expand the adoption of Esri's geographic information system technology, driving growth through strategic partnerships, negotiations, and industry expertise in a global enterprise sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with distributors to co-sell and promote Esri technology adoption.
- Identify new growth opportunities within the region and market segments.
- Articulate business value and negotiate with customers and distributors.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with clients and distributors.
- Lead executive reviews to finalize enterprise agreements.
- Support strategic planning and provide input into regional business growth strategies.
- Demonstrate expertise in GIS technology, product components, and applications.
- Facilitate client and distributor meetings to generate impactful ideas.
- Displace competitors through research and industry knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully supporting the needs of gathering and designing technical specifications to solve a customer’s needs.
- Experience creating a go-to-market strategy and selling enterprise software solutions, directly and through a channel.
- Expertise in negotiation and strategic engagements.
- Advanced storytelling skills and experience presenting at conferences and executive-level engagements.
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate it into solutions that address customer needs.
- Mastery of English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and various industries as they relate to one another.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business, engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to travel globally 25-50%.
