Job Description
A business analyst role supporting the development and enhancement of a subscription management system for Esri products, involving requirements gathering, process analysis, and collaboration with technical and business teams to improve licensing, purchasing, and provisioning processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and analyze requirements through interviews, documentation, surveys, and business process descriptions
- Evaluate and reconcile gathered information, identify conflicts, and decompose high-level data into detailed requirements
- Understand complex product licensing rules and translate them into actionable development tasks
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to prioritize requirements, develop process models, and propose solutions
- Create and revise analysis artifacts such as business requirements, use cases, business rules, process models, test cases, and user stories
- Engage independently in multiple initiatives supporting product purchase, provisioning, and licensing processes
- Work with Product Managers to enable customer access and licensing of software
- Participate in quality assurance, integration, and acceptance testing activities
Requirements
- Five (5) years of direct work experience as a business analyst supporting mission-critical business applications.
- Process-driven analysis skills and background in various requirement discovery methods such as interviews, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Strong facilitation skills to elicit requirements from various personalities across organization boundaries including senior executives.
- Proven experience in driving consensus across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Ability to understand technical jargon and communicate it in informal language.
- Experience analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
- Experience writing and executing test plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related STEM-field.
