Job Description

This role involves leveraging geospatial technology and industry expertise to build relationships with state government organizations, identify growth opportunities, and deliver tailored GIS solutions to support their mission and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
  • Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
  • Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate GIS solutions
  • Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and decision-making processes
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology related to state government applications
  • Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members to support professional growth

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
  • Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of state government, including state focus areas such as public safety, health, transportation, etc., and new technology trends with the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and state government as they relate to one another.
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: $114,400 - $218,400 USD
