Job Description
A Spatial Data Engineer responsible for analyzing, transforming, and loading large volumes of spatial data into normalized databases, developing scripts for data processing, and supporting geocoding product enhancements within Esri's ArcGIS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, enhance, prepare, and load spatial data into normalized databases regularly
- Write and maintain Python and SQL scripts for data processing and loading
- Evaluate new data sources for quality and attribution to support product requirements
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience developing Python scripts or tools.
- Experience writing scripts to perform spatial operations, advanced queries, and joins in SQL.
- Intermediate to advanced experience working with large, normalized databases.
- Experience transforming data from flat to normalized databases.
- Prior experience with ETL workflows.
- Ability to read data product specifications and translate them into database models and tables.
- Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced work environment.
- A keen attention to detail and drive to resolve any issues encountered.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, GIS, or a related field.
