Job Description
This summer internship at Esri offers hands-on experience in software development for geospatial technology, involving projects related to mapping, visualization, web services, SDKs, and desktop applications, with training and mentorship from experienced developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve web services using Rust
- Build SDKs for mobile device developers
- Enhance desktop applications with .NET technologies
- Create JavaScript tests and samples for web services
- Configure AWS resources for web services
- Write safer, faster, and better code using C 20 features
- Develop fast spatial analysis algorithms utilizing graphics card technologies
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related field, or working towards such a degree.
- Strong development skills in one or more of the following programming languages: Rust, C++, C#, .NET, or Java.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Interest in mapping applications and experience with Esri products is an advantage.
- Experience with test-driven development methodology and an interest in QA and testing.
- Ability to work onsite 5-days a week in the Cardiff, Wales office.
