Job Description
A Software Developer role focused on creating and enhancing Android applications for drone control and mapping within Esri’s ArcGIS Flight team, involving real-time drone operations, autonomous mission planning, and integration with geospatial analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance the ArcGIS Flight Android app
- Implement features connecting drones to mapping and analytics workflows
- Utilize modern Android frameworks, Jetpack libraries, KMP, and Kotlin best practices
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
- Write unit tests to ensure quality in all releases
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial Android software development experience
- Strong math skills, especially related to trigonometry and geometry
- Understanding of algorithms and design patterns
- Experience working with REST services and/or third-party SDKs
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
