Job Description
The Sr. Marketing Data Strategist is responsible for designing and managing advanced marketing data models, ensuring data quality and governance, and developing visualization tools to support strategic decision-making and improve marketing targeting and personalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable marketing data models for segmentation, personalization, and performance measurement
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to analyze campaign performance and identify trends
- Implement data enrichment, validation frameworks, and quality controls to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Establish and operationalize data governance standards, benchmarks, and monitoring processes
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate marketing performance and data health metrics
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data compliance, quality, and support for audience strategies
- Identify systemic data challenges and establish best practices for data transformations, normalization, and enrichment
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in marketing data, analytics, data strategy, or related fields
- Strong expertise in data models, segmentation strategy, data quality, governance, and enrichment practices
- Experience partnering with Legal and Privacy teams on data usage, consent, and compliance requirements
- Advanced experience working across CRM, marketing automation platforms, CDPs, and BI tools
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze and validate complex datasets
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable frameworks rather than one-off solutions
- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, information systems, or a related field
- Occasional travel may be required up to 20%; travel needs may vary based on business requirements
