Job Description
An internship position at Esri R D Center-Zurich focused on research, development, and implementation of innovative 3D Web GIS applications, web cartography, and UI/UX design, providing hands-on experience in cutting-edge geospatial technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Select or define a focused internship project in 3D Web GIS, web cartography, web apps, or UI/UX design
- Research the state of the art and real-world use cases related to the internship project
- Propose a design and work plan for the project and discuss it with supervisors and colleagues
- Implement the work plan and share progress with the team
- Document the completed work, create showcase videos, and present results to the team
- Contribute to daily development tasks within Scrum product teams (optional)
Requirements
- Experience with web development
- Background in UI UX design
- Interest in contributing to open source
- Self-initiative, responsible, self-controlled, and self-motivating
- Good verbal and written skills in English and/or German
- BSc or MSc in computer science, architecture, GIS, or UI UX design completion or final year of study
- Existing work authorization for Switzerland
