Job Description
The Project Manager will oversee cross-functional projects within Esri's design system, focusing on driving adoption, improving collaboration, and delivering strategic engagement initiatives across teams, while managing operations, communication, and feedback analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional projects to ensure scope, schedule, and deliverables are met.
- Foster partnerships with product teams to gather feedback and drive system adoption.
- Organize meetings, surveys, and follow-ups to prioritize user needs.
- Maintain project tools and drive internal process improvements.
- Produce and distribute team-wide communications and updates.
- Support governance processes, usage tracking, and metrics dashboards.
- Analyze user feedback and trends to inform strategic roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.
- Coordinate purchase requests and manage logistical aspects of tools, conferences, and events.
- Lead meetings such as stakeholder meetings, onsite events, and retrospectives with clear communication.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects with diverse teams, preferably within design systems or in a technology domain.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, GitHub, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Strong project and task management skills to lead cross-functional teams and ensure completion of tasks through various phases of development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to bridge design, engineering, and product teams effectively.
- Experience streamlining team operations, driving process improvements, and managing logistical aspects of events and purchases.
- Ability to analyze trends, translate feedback into actionable insights, and contribute to project roadmaps.
- Experience with planning and implementation, including executing priorities, tracking tasks, and setting milestones.
- Skilled in organizing and maintaining clear, accessible documentation via spreadsheets, distribution lists, and Confluence pages.
- Ability to coordinate and lead meetings such as stakeholder meetings, onsite events, and retrospectives, with clear communication of updates, risks, and mitigations.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
