Job Description
The role involves delivering GIS training and support to customers using Esri software, primarily ArcGIS, to enhance their skills, promote sustainable workflows, and demonstrate the strategic value of GIS across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency in ArcGIS software through in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training sessions and workshops to improve user capabilities.
- Support users by answering questions and helping overcome challenges related to GIS workflows and software use.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business processes and provide guidance on designing sustainable GIS workflows.
- Promote the adoption of ArcGIS across customer organizations and demonstrate its value through tailored solutions and workshops.
- Create visualizations and narratives to communicate the impact of GIS and develop engaging content such as case studies and success stories.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of professional experience leveraging Esri's software capabilities.
- At least five (5) years of experience specifically in ArcGIS Enterprise or Enterprise Geodatabases.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in classroom facilitation and instructional delivery.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while prioritizing student needs.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to incorporate feedback to continuously improve instructional delivery and course materials.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Twenty (20) hours of travel time within the year to support an average of 10-15 onsite customer training sessions per year.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
