Job Description
A Lead Business Development Manager at Esri collaborates with distributors to promote and expand the adoption of Esri's geographic information system technology within the AEC industry, driving strategic growth, building long-term relationships, and providing expertise to support customer and partner success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with distributors to co-sell and promote Esri technology adoption.
- Identify new markets, business partners, and opportunities within the AEC industry and regional landscape.
- Develop and implement strategic growth and business plans in partnership with distributors.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with division leadership, customers, and distributors.
- Drive strategic initiatives from conception to completion, leveraging resources across Esri and partners.
- Anticipate industry trends and apply knowledge to customer and distributor engagements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Esri offerings in the AEC market and communicate value propositions.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience successfully supporting the needs of gathering and designing technical specifications to solve a customer’s needs
- Experience selling enterprise software solutions directly and through a channel
- Expert in negotiation and strategic engagements
- Advanced storytelling skills and experience presenting at conferences and executive level engagements
- Detail oriented, with the ability to manage large amounts of information and nuances within an organization
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate it into solutions that address customer needs
- Mastery of English and other languages as needed, both verbal and written
- Ability to travel globally 25-50%
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the AEC industry, as they relate to one another
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business, engineering or a related field
