Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising customers on complex business challenges using Esri's GIS technology, creating innovative solutions, demonstrating the value of GIS, and supporting sales and technical consulting efforts across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and business challenges
- Build relationships and support sales strategies for Esri software and solutions
- Become a subject matter expert in Natural Resources industries and ArcGIS technology
- Present technical demonstrations and communicate GIS solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that demonstrate business value
- Define and deliver strategies to align Esri technology with customer needs
Requirements
- Three years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- One year of experience in various industries
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
