Job Description
A solution engineer at Esri is responsible for demonstrating and supporting geospatial technologies and solutions to customers, helping them understand and adopt Esri's platform to address their business challenges through technical presentations, problem-solving, and strategic consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions.
- Build relationships with customers and support sales strategies.
- Become a subject matter and technical expert on Esri’s platform and products.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences about Esri technologies.
- Proactively craft solutions demonstrating business value through geospatial technologies.
- Employ spatial theory to solve problems, identify improvements, and integrate new concepts.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers.
- Support customization and best practices for Esri technology use.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 1 year of experience in various industries
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: .NET, C, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Java
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing
- Ability to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
