Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising customers on complex business challenges using Esri's GIS technology, demonstrating solutions, and supporting sales strategies through technical expertise and innovative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate the value of Esri technology
- Build relationships and support sales strategies through presentations and demonstrations
- Become a subject matter expert in specific industries and ArcGIS technology
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business needs
- Present technical demonstrations and best practices to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- At least 1 year of experience in Hi-Tech, Media Entertainment, Consumer Goods Services, Insurance and Financial Services industries
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
