Job Description
A Software Development Engineer role focused on designing and developing AI-driven software components to enhance geospatial data quality within the ArcGIS platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable, high-performance solutions for organizations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python-based machine learning and GenAI components for geospatial data quality workflows
- Build AI-driven features to assess, validate, and improve spatial data quality
- Contribute to GenAI-enabled pipelines using embeddings, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Write well-tested, maintainable, and documented code that meets product quality standards
- Develop software following industry-standard design patterns, methodologies, and deployment models with a focus on AI solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, developers, engineers, and product managers to drive AI initiatives
- Participate in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning and reviews
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software development or data science experience in similar roles with a focus on structured data analysis and Gen AI workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience implementing algorithms that operate on structured datasets.
- Experience working with data transformation, aggregation, or feature construction as part of analytical or AI-driven workflows.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and backend software design.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts such as pattern recognition, similarity analysis, or predictive modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related STEM field.
