Job Description
This role involves building relationships with local government clients to promote and implement Esri's geospatial technology solutions, identifying growth opportunities, and providing expertise to help organizations achieve their missions through GIS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations.
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Understand customer needs, industry knowledge, and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the value of Esri technology related to local government.
- Execute account management and sales processes for opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies.
- Research and pursue professional development to anticipate customer needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- Experience creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account planning and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
