Job Description
The Senior Staff Engineer at Equilibrium Energy will design and develop complex, data-driven frontend applications to support innovative energy storage solutions, contributing to the transformation of the power grid and advancing clean energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in critical frontend architecture decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Design and develop scalable, data-intensive frontend applications and user interfaces.
- Translate complex domain requirements into elegant, user-friendly UI solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Implement frontend strategies for visualizing and interacting with large, complex datasets.
- Apply modern testing strategies for frontend applications, including unit, functional, and end-to-end testing.
- Navigate complex problem spaces and contribute to technical discussions beyond focus areas.
Requirements
- A commitment to clean energy and combating climate change.
- Experience with frontend full-stack engineering, ideally at scale, including development and ownership of complex, data-intensive applications, and large-scale Typescript React codebases.
- Collaboration-driven mentality and the ability to work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing frontend strategies for effectively consuming, visualizing, and interacting with large, complex datasets, including understanding the underlying data models and APIs.
- Proficiency in AI-augmented software engineering, e.g., Gen AI and LLMs, agentic tools, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.
- Good understanding of security best practices, preferably in an enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise with modern testing strategies for frontend applications, including unit, functional, and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright.
