Job Description
Support Development Engineer at EnergyHub will work closely with engineering and stakeholders to troubleshoot, configure, and maintain IoT and SaaS solutions for energy management, contributing to the development and support of virtual power plant technologies and data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify root causes of technical issues by analyzing logs, data, and code.
- Respond to and troubleshoot production issues, including configuring programs and data flows with partners.
- Build and update dashboards to provide insights and identify high-value opportunities.
- Implement technical solutions to mitigate or resolve known issues.
- Debug issues using tools like AWS Cloudwatch, Sentry, or Datadog.
- Contribute bug fixes and update scripts for data migrations, cleanup, or process improvements.
Requirements
- Ability to combine information gained from multiple sources to identify root causes of technical issues.
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for calling out areas for improvement.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal teams as well as external partners.
- Comfort working across time zones and cultures.
- An understanding of code versioning concepts and experience with tools like git.
- Experience identifying and debugging issues using tools like AWS Cloudwatch, Sentry or Datadog.
- Experience working with 3rd Party APIs using Postman.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python.
- Experience or familiarity with Fullstack web development.
- Experience with the AWS ecosystem and/or other cloud providers such as Azure or GCP.
- Participation in an on-call rotation every 3 to 4 weeks to support critical issues outside of regular business hours.
