Job Description
Support Development Engineer at EnergyHub will work closely with engineering and stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues, configure data flows, build dashboards, and contribute to code fixes, primarily using Java, Python, and web technologies, to support the company's IoT and energy management platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify root causes of technical issues by analyzing logs, data, and code.
- Respond to production issues and troubleshoot reported problems.
- Configure programs and data flows between EnergyHub and OEM or Utility partners.
- Build dashboards to analyze data and identify high-value opportunities.
- Implement technical solutions to mitigate or resolve known issues.
- Create, update, and maintain scripts for data migrations, cleanup, and process improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues outside regular hours.
Requirements
- Ability to combine information gained from multiple sources to identify root causes of technical issues
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for calling out areas for improvement
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with internal teams as well as external partners
- Comfort working across time zones and cultures
- An understanding of code versioning concepts and experience with tools like git
- Experience identifying and debugging issues using tools like AWS Cloudwatch, Sentry or Datadog
- Experience working with 3rd Party APIs using Postman
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python
- Experience or familiarity with Fullstack web development
- Experience with the AWS ecosystem and/or other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation every 3 to 4 weeks to support critical issues outside of regular business hours

Compensation/salary range: 90,000 - 110,000 USD
