Job Description
The Software Solutions Engineer - APAC is responsible for deploying and supporting energy management systems and power plant controllers for utility-scale energy storage projects in Australia, working closely with international teams to develop, commission, and optimize energy storage solutions that support a cleaner and more resilient grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and support the VaultOS Power Plant Controller and Energy Management System across Australia.
- Develop, design, commission, and support utility-scale energy storage systems.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based and Australian teams to ensure project reliability and performance.
- Apply knowledge of power systems, energy storage, electrical engineering, software, networking, and automation to solve complex challenges.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in power systems and energy storage, solid electrical engineering fundamentals, and a keen interest in software, networking, and automation.
- Experience in developing, designing, commissioning, and supporting utility-scale energy storage systems.
- Ability to work closely with U.S.-based teams and Australian SCADA, Project, and Commissioning Engineers to deliver reliable, high-performing projects.
- Versatile, systems-minded engineer with the ability to solve complex challenges at the intersection of hardware and code.
- Hands-on, collaborative approach to project execution.
- Experience deploying and supporting Energy Vault’s VaultOS Power Plant Controller and Energy Management System platform.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals relevant to energy storage and power systems.
- Experience working with software, networking, and automation technologies related to energy systems.
- Ability to develop, design, and support energy storage systems from initial concept through commissioning.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to building technology that supports a cleaner, more resilient grid and making a positive impact on Australia’s renewable energy transition.
