Job Description

The Senior Product Manager at Energy Solutions is responsible for leading the development, management, and refinement of energy-related products and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and market alignment in areas such as energy efficiency, decarbonization, and distributed energy resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product development and management for new and existing products and services in practice areas such as Distributed Energy Resources, Energy Efficiency, Decarbonization, and Energy Codes Standards.
  • Evaluate, scale, and manage products and services for utility clients.
  • Collaborate with practice area leadership to define high-level business requirements and support technical discovery for software development.
  • Coordinate with marketing and implementation teams to launch, test, and update products and services.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and Voice of Customer efforts to inform product development and ensure market differentiation.
  • Prioritize product development needs, own product roadmaps, and drive innovation.
  • Support business development efforts to deploy Minimum Viable Products (MVP) for new and existing offerings.
  • Modify and refine products based on client and stakeholder feedback to align with growth strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related, STEM, or environmental discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience with at least 4 of those years in a Product Management role
  • Proven professional experience designing and managing products or services
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and voice of customer outreach
  • Ability to analyze markets and apply findings to development decisions
  • Direct project management experience including partnership management and program design development
  • Experience leading and managing cross-team projects and goals
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on core product management activities
  • Willingness to work as part of multiple teams and balance parallel workstreams
  • Research and understand market drivers, trends, and capabilities necessary to produce a product that solves market needs, ensures sustained differentiation, and formulates clear value propositions to clients
  • Support business development efforts to secure Minimum Viable Product (MVP) deployment for new and existing products and services
  • Create high-level business requirements for all features and functionality of the product in close collaboration with the practice area leadership team
  • Lead product development efforts for new products using a stage-gate development process and producing the key product deliverables for each stage
  • Modify and update products and services based on feedback from client management teams, business development leads, and business strategy team to ensure alignment with growth management plan
  • Collaborate to develop or update processes, artifacts, and stakeholder engagement strategies in alignment with the deployment of Energy Solution’s Productized Services Framework
  • Research and understand market drivers, trends, and capabilities necessary to produce a product that solves market needs, ensures sustained differentiation, and formulates clear value propositions to clients
  • Conduct Voice of Customer efforts to understand overall market states, individual client needs, and inform further product development priorities
  • Support business development efforts to secure MVP deployment for new and existing products and services
  • Prioritize product development needs, own the product roadmaps, and coordinate with stakeholders to drive innovation
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to socialize, launch, and test new services to existing and new clients
  • Willingness to work as part of multiple teams and balance parallel workstreams

Benefits & Perks

Salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 annually, with a target range of $110,000 - $126,000 annually
