Job Description
The Senior Product Manager at Energy Solutions is responsible for leading the development, management, and refinement of energy-related products and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and market alignment in areas such as energy efficiency, decarbonization, and distributed energy resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development and management for new and existing products and services in practice areas such as Distributed Energy Resources, Energy Efficiency, Decarbonization, and Energy Codes Standards.
- Evaluate, scale, and manage products and services for utility clients.
- Collaborate with practice area leadership to define high-level business requirements and support technical discovery for software development.
- Coordinate with marketing and implementation teams to launch, test, and update products and services.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and Voice of Customer efforts to inform product development and ensure market differentiation.
- Prioritize product development needs, own product roadmaps, and drive innovation.
- Support business development efforts to deploy Minimum Viable Products (MVP) for new and existing offerings.
- Modify and refine products based on client and stakeholder feedback to align with growth strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related, STEM, or environmental discipline
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience with at least 4 of those years in a Product Management role
- Proven professional experience designing and managing products or services
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and voice of customer outreach
- Ability to analyze markets and apply findings to development decisions
- Direct project management experience including partnership management and program design development
- Experience leading and managing cross-team projects and goals
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on core product management activities
- Willingness to work as part of multiple teams and balance parallel workstreams
- Research and understand market drivers, trends, and capabilities necessary to produce a product that solves market needs, ensures sustained differentiation, and formulates clear value propositions to clients
- Support business development efforts to secure Minimum Viable Product (MVP) deployment for new and existing products and services
- Create high-level business requirements for all features and functionality of the product in close collaboration with the practice area leadership team
- Lead product development efforts for new products using a stage-gate development process and producing the key product deliverables for each stage
- Modify and update products and services based on feedback from client management teams, business development leads, and business strategy team to ensure alignment with growth management plan
- Collaborate to develop or update processes, artifacts, and stakeholder engagement strategies in alignment with the deployment of Energy Solution’s Productized Services Framework
- Research and understand market drivers, trends, and capabilities necessary to produce a product that solves market needs, ensures sustained differentiation, and formulates clear value propositions to clients
- Conduct Voice of Customer efforts to understand overall market states, individual client needs, and inform further product development priorities
- Support business development efforts to secure MVP deployment for new and existing products and services
- Prioritize product development needs, own the product roadmaps, and coordinate with stakeholders to drive innovation
- Collaborate with implementation teams to socialize, launch, and test new services to existing and new clients
- Willingness to work as part of multiple teams and balance parallel workstreams
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 annually, with a target range of $110,000 - $126,000 annually
