The role involves leading and managing programs that promote demand response, storage, and solar technologies to support a decarbonized grid, overseeing program delivery, client relationships, business development, and team leadership within a dynamic, mostly remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee delivery of demand response, storage, and solar programs to meet goals within budget and timeline
Develop and maintain software systems supporting program implementation
Monitor program performance metrics, budgets, and risks
Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, including staffing, supervision, and professional development
Manage client and stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfaction and collaboration
Support business development through proposal creation, opportunity identification, and strategic growth initiatives
Represent the organization at industry events and forums to enhance visibility and thought leadership
Align departmental goals with organizational strategy and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, energy, policy, engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 12 years of work experience including at least 5 years of supervision and leadership of multigenerational teams.
Minimum of 5 years experience with program implementation and growth, ideally in demand response and/or storage program administration.
Familiarity with the North American DERs market, ideally in energy and utility business and market for demand response and/or storage, with a focus on California.
Experience working with software development and bridging the gap between client needs and software costs and timelines.
Demonstrated outstanding problem solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Ability to solve complex problems, provide solutions, and balance competing priorities.
Experience leading contract negotiations and renewals with clients.
Strong client management and project management skills.
Proven track record of successful supervision or organizational leadership experience.
Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost management, and maximizing profitability.
Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership to achieve energy and climate goals.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collegial, and collaborative environment within a fast-paced and dynamic growing company.
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time and organize competing priorities.

Salary range of $145,000 to $180,000, with a target compensation of $145,000 to $171,000 based on experience and qualifications
