Job Description
A Senior Data Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining data solutions for a renewable energy company, supporting their sustainable biomass and hydroelectric power projects in a software engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements
- Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on energy sector projects, specifically involving renewable power generation such as biomass and hydroelectric power
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data architecture for large-scale data processing
- Strong expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Experience working with cloud platforms and services relevant to data engineering (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and software developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data workflows for performance and reliability
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles
- Experience working in or with companies involved in renewable energy projects is preferred
- Willingness to work in Poland, Croatia, or Ukraine
