Job Description
A Middle Test Automation Engineer Java responsible for developing and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality of financial software solutions, primarily in a cloud-based environment, for a global company serving financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java.
- Design and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects in the software.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with a focus on Java, demonstrating the ability to develop and execute automated test scripts.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts using Java.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into automated test cases and scripts.
- Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with developers, QA analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
- Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks relevant to Java, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify, document, and track defects effectively.
- Strong communication skills to report testing progress, issues, and results clearly and effectively.
- Educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing, specifically with Java-based tools and frameworks.
- Experience in testing financial or portfolio management software solutions is preferred but not explicitly mandatory.
- Physical ability to work in an office environment in Ukraine (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Kyiv) as required by the role.
