Job Description
The Project Accountant II is responsible for managing contract setup, revenue recognition, billing, and supporting project managers within a consulting firm, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with project accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up contracts and manage revenue recognition for projects
- Prepare and issue billing for assigned projects
- Support project managers with financial and accounting tasks related to projects
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of project accounting records in ERP system
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to ensure smooth operation of the accounting system
Requirements
- Experience in project accounting and revenue recognition for consulting businesses.
- Expertise in contract setup, revenue recognition, billing, and supporting project managers.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP or similar project accounting systems is preferred.
