Job Description

The Associate Consultant at E3 conducts research and analysis on energy issues, supports project delivery, and contributes to developing strategies and policies related to clean energy, working alongside senior team members in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and evaluation to support customer projects
  • Assist in developing and refining forecasting models and quantifying market strategies
  • Study market portfolios, stakeholder needs, and industry standards
  • Develop policy and market overviews to inform strategic decisions

Requirements

  • Candidates must have the ability to work for extended hours in front of a computer screen and conduct meetings on the telephone and virtually.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid and flexible work environment, working from the office at least 2-3 days per week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Candidates must have strong analytical dexterity and/or policy experience relevant to energy and climate issues.
  • Candidates must demonstrate integrity and a commitment to the clean energy transition.
  • Candidates must have curiosity, thrive in a rigorous and quantitative solution-finding environment, and take a proactive approach to assist the team.
  • Candidates must be practiced at clearly presenting information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Candidates must have proven organizational techniques that help create and actualize work plans that are efficient while delivering guidance to serve customers.
  • Candidates must have conducted research and evaluation to aid the delivery of customer work under the direction of senior-level team members.
  • Candidates must be able to contribute to in-house forecasting models, quantify various market strategies, study market portfolios and stakeholder needs, benchmark industry standards, and develop policy and market overviews.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (implied by the need for research, evaluation, and policy work, although not explicitly stated).
  • Candidates must be able to work full-time in an exempt or non-exempt capacity depending on level of work experience.
  • Candidates must be able to participate in a recruiting process that includes a phone interview, technical exercise, and final interviews, which may take up to 6-8 weeks.
