Job Description
The Technologist - Mechanical Design Engineering at Diamond Foundry Inc. involves leading the design and development of plasma-enhanced CVD reactor equipment and systems for diamond growth, managing multiple R&D projects, and contributing to innovative manufacturing processes in a fast-growing, environmentally sustainable tech company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and systems for diamond growth and manufacturing.
- Lead multiple high-visibility R&D projects within the Reactor Development Group.
- Manage and oversee the engineering and technical aspects of reactor systems development.
Requirements
- Experience leading multiple projects and teams with a strong track record of success in mechanical design engineering.
- Experience designing and developing Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and other systems used in the growth and manufacture of diamond.
- Proven ability to lead high-visibility R D projects within a company’s Reactor Development Group.
- Ability to serve as a primary owner for the design and development of specialized equipment related to diamond manufacturing.
- Physical ability to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including sitting, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, reaching with hands and arms, lifting below and above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, using fine finger manipulation, and completing repetitive motions.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Physical ability to drive or use foot controls as required for tasks.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
