Job Description
The Technologist - Mechanical Design Engineering at Diamond Foundry Inc. is responsible for leading the design and development of plasma-enhanced CVD reactor equipment and related systems used in diamond growth, managing multiple high-visibility R&D projects within the company's Reactor Development Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and related systems for diamond growth and manufacturing.
- Manage multiple high-visibility R&D projects within the Reactor Development Group.
- Oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of reactor systems, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience leading multiple projects and teams with a strong track record of success in mechanical design engineering, particularly related to Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and other systems used in the growth and manufacture of diamond.
- Highly experienced and innovative mechanical design engineer capable of leading a number of high-visibility R D projects within the company's Reactor Development Group.
- Complete understanding and ability to design and develop Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and related systems used in diamond growth and manufacturing.
- Ability to serve as a primary owner for the design and development of reactor equipment and systems.
- Physical ability to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including sitting, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, reaching with hands and arms, lifting below and above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, using fine finger manipulation, and completing repetitive motions.
- Capability to perform tasks that may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require driving or the use of foot controls.
- Physical strength to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
