Job Description
The Senior Laser Process Engineer will develop, optimize, and deploy high-power laser processes for diamond wafer production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve technology and train technicians across facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and optimize high power laser machines across facilities
- Develop new ablative laser processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Create production release packages, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
- Train technicians to implement new laser processes
Requirements
- Developing new ablative laser processes with a cross-functional team of mechanical, electrical, automation, optical, software, and system engineers to improve and deploy laser technologies company-wide.
- Hands-on development of laser processes for deployment in manufacturing facilities.
- Creating production release packages, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and training technicians to implement new laser processes.
- Responsible for the deployment and optimization of high power laser machines at Diamond Foundry.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Physical ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in developing laser processes and deploying laser equipment in a manufacturing environment (implied by the responsibility for deployment and optimization of high power laser machines).
