Job Description
A mechanical design engineer responsible for leading the design and development of Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and related systems for diamond manufacturing, supporting high-visibility R&D projects within the company's innovative tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and related systems for diamond growth and manufacturing.
- Manage multiple high-visibility R&D projects within the Reactor Development Group.
- Own the mechanical design aspects of reactor systems, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
- Lead and coordinate teams to successfully execute project objectives.
Requirements
- Experience leading multiple projects and teams with a strong track record of success in mechanical design engineering.
- Primary ownership of the design and development of Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and other systems used in the growth and manufacture of diamond.
- Experience in designing systems used in the growth and manufacture of diamond, specifically Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactors.
- Ability to lead high-visibility R D projects within a company's Reactor Development Group.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Physical ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
