The Sustaining Laser Engineer will oversee the deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of high-power laser systems in a cutting-edge diamond manufacturing environment, working closely with R&D, operations, and quality teams to ensure stable high-volume production of innovative diamond wafers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee deployment and optimization of high-power laser machines across facilities
Develop systems for collecting, reviewing, and troubleshooting yield and process data from laser systems
Investigate and correct process excursions to ensure process stability
Collaborate with R&D, operations, and quality teams to support high-volume manufacturing of first-in-kind processes
Requirements
Develop systems for collecting, reviewing, and troubleshooting yield and process data across a fleet of ablative laser systems.
Flag, investigate, and correct process excursions related to laser systems to ensure stable high-volume manufacturing of first-in-kind processes.
Oversee the deployment and optimization of high-power laser machines across various facilities.
Work closely with R D, operations, and quality teams to support manufacturing goals.
Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs.
Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls.
