Job Description

The Senior Principal Metrology Engineer will lead metrology initiatives, develop advanced characterization techniques, and improve quality and process control for diamond wafer manufacturing, working closely with R&D, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure precision and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead metrology initiatives to develop and implement advanced measurement and characterization techniques for single crystal diamond wafers.
  • Establish and improve measurement methodologies to ensure quality, precision, and process control.
  • Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to enhance metrology capabilities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze failure data and perform data analysis within a semiconductor-like environment to drive quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading metrology initiatives, developing advanced characterization techniques, and driving improvement in quality and process control within a semiconductor-like environment.
  • Expertise in advanced characterization techniques, failure analysis, and data analysis relevant to materials science and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Ability to establish robust measurement methodologies and improve metrology capabilities in a manufacturing or research environment.
  • Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, process engineering, and manufacturing to ensure quality standards and process improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
  • Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs.
  • Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
