Job Description

The Senior Laser Process Engineer will develop, optimize, and deploy high-power laser processes for diamond wafer production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve technology, create operational documentation, and train technicians across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and optimize high power laser machines across facilities
Develop new ablative laser processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Create production release packages, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
Train technicians to implement new laser processes

Requirements

Developing new ablative laser processes with a cross-functional team of mechanical, electrical, automation, optical, software, and system engineers to improve and deploy laser technologies company-wide.
Hands-on development of laser processes, including creating production release packages, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and training technicians to implement these processes.
Deployment and optimization of high power laser machines at Diamond Foundry facilities.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot high power laser equipment used in manufacturing processes.
Physical ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
Physical capability to use ladders or stairs when required for tasks.
Physical ability to drive or use foot controls as needed for certain tasks.
Lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Possess the education and experience necessary to develop and optimize laser processes (implied: relevant technical background in laser engineering or related field).
