Job Description
The Senior Principal Laser Process Engineer will deploy, optimize, and support laser technologies across multiple facilities, working cross-functionally with engineering teams to improve processes and develop standard procedures for laser-based manufacturing of diamond wafers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and optimize new and novel laser machines across facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve laser technologies
- Develop standard procedures manuals for laser processes
- Train technical staff in process optimization and laser process improvements
- Provide ongoing technical support for laser and laser-associated processes
Requirements
- Experience in deploying and optimizing new and novel laser machines, with the ability to improve and deploy these technologies across multiple facilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams of mechanical, electrical, automation, optical, software, and system engineers to improve and deploy laser technologies company-wide.
- Proficiency in producing standard procedures manuals and training technical staff in process optimization, ongoing technical support, and process improvement of laser and laser-associated processes.
- Physical ability to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including sitting, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, reaching with hands and arms, lifting below and above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, using fine finger manipulation, and completing repetitive motions.
- Capability to perform tasks that may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Ability to drive or use foot controls as required for certain tasks.
- Physical strength to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
