Job Description
The Senior Metrology Engineer at Diamond Foundry Inc. will lead metrology initiatives, develop advanced thermal characterization techniques, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, precision, and process control in the production of single-crystal diamond wafers for high-tech industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead metrology initiatives to improve measurement methodologies and capabilities.
- Develop advanced thermal characterization techniques, specifically Frequency-Domain Thermoreflectance (FDTR).
- Drive improvement in quality and process control for single-crystal diamond technology.
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish and optimize measurement procedures.
- Ensure compliance with stringent quality standards related to metrology and thermal transport.
Requirements
- Expertise in advanced thermal characterization techniques, specifically Frequency-Domain Thermoreflectance (FDTR).
- Deep understanding of thermal transport in semiconductors and wide-bandgap materials like single-crystal diamond.
- Experience in leading metrology initiatives and developing advanced characterization techniques.
- Ability to establish robust measurement methodologies and improve metrology capabilities.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, process engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure quality and process control.
- Proven ability to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
- Physical ability to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Capability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Ability to drive or use foot controls as required for certain tasks.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
