Job Description
A senior software systems engineer responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications and automation workflows for a manufacturing line that produces single-crystal diamond wafers, utilizing image analysis, AI, and communication protocols to enhance system efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot applications for the manufacturing line
- Interact with custom-built and off-the-shelf equipment to optimize data collection and operator input
- Implement image analysis and AI machine learning tools to improve system efficiency
- Program devices and automate workflows within the manufacturing process
- Communicate with various devices using different communication protocols
- Build human-machine interfaces for manufacturing equipment
Requirements
- Develop and troubleshoot applications for the manufacturing line, including interacting with custom-built and off-the-shelf equipment to optimize data collection and operator input.
- Use image analysis and AI machine learning tools to improve overall system efficiency.
- Work with an experienced team of mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, assisting other teams and taking responsibility for your own engineering projects.
- Improve data collection methods, program devices, automate workflows, and build human machine interfaces to achieve maximum productivity for the production line.
- Communicate with different types of devices using various communication protocols.
- Use programming skills to develop applications and automate workflows related to manufacturing processes.
- Follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions as required for the role.
- Use ladders or stairs as needed for tasks.
- Drive or use foot controls as required for specific tasks.
- Lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
