Job Description
The Senior Accountant will support and improve various aspects of the company's general accounting practices, handling multiple areas of the accounting cycle to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and improve various aspects of the general accounting practice
- Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting efficient and effective accounting processes
- Manage and execute tasks across all areas of the accounting cycle for multiple businesses
Requirements
- Solid operational and technical accounting background with the ability to assist and improve various aspects of the general accounting practice.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues that hinder efficient and effective accounting processes to meet corporate and departmental goals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey accounting information and collaborate with team members.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multitask across different areas of the accounting cycle for a variety of businesses.
- High level of integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Experience with the full accounting cycle, including involvement with multiple areas of accounting for different business units.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that include sitting, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, reaching with hands and arms, lifting below and above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, using fine finger manipulation, and completing repetitive motions.
- Ability to use ladders or stairs when required for tasks.
- Ability to drive or use foot controls when necessary.
- Capability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE as required in manufacturing and engineering departments.
